Filter Connection Style

Double Open End (DOE) cartridges are filter elements that use with knife edge mechanism to seal both end of the cartridge and aligned within the housing by a tie rod and secured in placed with some kind of compression device, commonly a spring or a seal nut before closure.

Single Open End (SOE) cartridges are those with one end of the cartridge blind off with a blanking end cap, and the other end open attached with built in ‘O’ rings, and that gives a much more efficient and reliable seal than the DOE configuration.

There are various different ‘O’ ring and blanking end cap designs available on the market, generally with specific applications to install onto specific manufacturers housing designs. We are able to recommend a wide range of the most common end cap styles fitted to your existing housing, and the details of the most common of these are shown below.
